Tom Fletcher, the Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, said today that humanitarians are “moving at speed to save lives after the ferocious flash floods in Nepal and China.”
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and partners from the World Health Organization (WHO), the World Food Programme, UNICEF and NGOs are assisting national authorities in Nepal to deliver urgent, life-saving support. *
