TNSTC-Coimbatore Ltd., accelerates operational efficiency through training programmes

TNSTC-Coimbatore is enhancing operational efficiency by providing technical and managerial training to its staff. The corporation has also expanded its fleet and focused on maintenance training for new bus technologies.

The Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC-Coimbatore Ltd.) is training its technical and managerial staff to improve efficiency. Recently, 180 employees underwent training on maintenance of buses being introduced with latest technology.
So far this year, 319 new buses have been added to the fleet, and 104 buses have been refurbished, said K. Mohamed Nazar, Managing Director, TNSTC-Coimbatore Ltd., while taking part in the Independence Day celebrations.
Another 180 employees underwent training for brake maintenance, and 100 workers were trained in electric and battery maintenance. About 180 workers were sensitised to diesel optimisation by trainers from Ashok Leyland.
Additionally, training programmes are being conducted for engineers, supervisors, and branch managers to achieve managerial efficiency, the MD said.
