TNAU ties up with Novonesis to find biological solutions for coconut root wilt disease

The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore, has tied up with Bengaluru-based Novonesis to develop biological solutions for managing coconut root wilt disease (RWD), and improving soil and palm health.
The MoU with Novonesis, subsidiary of Lyngby, Denmark, envisages expenditure of ₹67-lakh over a three-year duration for developing and validating probiotic bacterial consortia and nutrient-based biological solutions, with field trials and farmer participation forming key components of the initiative.
