A special police team of the Tiruvallur district on Tuesday arrested three persons for stealing an automated teller machine (ATM) belonging to a private bank in Kudapakkam village on September 5.

The three migrant workers from West Bengal stole the ATM containing over ₹10 lakh in a funeral vehicle and escaped from the city. The Vellavedu police found that the theft was similar to that of an ATM in Gummidipoondi.
