The Pothaiyadi bus stop near Eruvadi is not being used by the public, as buses do not stop there, even though it is located closer to an EB office and village cooperative society. As a result, the public are forced to walk one km to the bus stop in the main bazaar or hire autorickshaws. The transport department authorities are requested to arrange a stoppage of buses at Pothaiyadi bus stop on the South Main Road.
The students from Seidunganallur, Krishnapuram and V.M. Chatram are facing considerable hardships in boarding buses to reach their destinations. Every day they are taking risks by travelling on footboard. It is learnt that this situation is due to the non frequency of buses during peak hours. The unsafe journey may lead to major accidents. The transport department authorities are requested to take immediate measures to address the issue.
