The Southern Railway and the Plant A Billion Trees (PABT), an NGO dedicated to planting and protecting trees, have joined hands to expand green cover by planting saplings in Tiruchi Railway Division. The partnership is part of a plan to plant 1.25 lakh saplings across railway stations, colonies, office premises, and other suitable locations.

Saplings were planted at the Tiruchi Railway Junction on Friday as part of the ongoing collaboration. Divisional Railway Manager Balak Ram Negi and the PABT founder Shailendra Shivakumar participated in the event.
