Collector Pratik Tayal on Wednesday visited Chathiram Bus Stand in the city to take stock on the operation of city buses and the functioning of mofussil terminus outside the Chathiram Bus Stand. Accompanied by Tiruchi Corporation Commissioner Veer Pratap Singh and the officials of Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation and the Department of Transport, Mr. Tayal studied the problems faced by the passengers due to the operation of buses, particularly long distance buses, encroachment of pavement by traders, haphazard parking of vehicles and others. He also discussed with the officials on the steps to be taken to improve the traffic management at Chathiram Bus Stand and outside.
