Tinubu's reconstruction of Kaduna-Birnin Gwari road fulfilment of campaign promise, says Uba Sani
Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has officially launched the reconstruction of the 122-kilometre Kaduna-Birnin Gwari road. The project, funded with N178 billion, fulfills a key campaign promise made by President Bola Tinubu to improve infrastructure and security in the region.

President Bola Tinubu has flagged off the 122-kilometre Kaduna-Birnin Gwari road reconstruction.
Speaking on Tuesday in Kaduna, Uba Sani, governor of the state, said the reconstruction is fulfilment of the president’s campaign promise to the people of the state.
Sani, who represented Tinubu at the event, said the road will connect the north-west to the south-west.
He added that the road cuts across five states up to Lagos, adding that N178 billion has been approved for the project.
According to Sani, Tinubu paid a visit to Birnin Gwari against security advice, during a campaign stop in Kaduna in December 2022.
He said at the time, Birnin Gwari was the epicentre of banditry, kidnapping and insurgency.
“As someone who was aspiring to be president of Nigeria, he must visit Birnin Gwari,” Sani recalled.
