Tiniest Ganesha sculpted on a human hair strand
Micro sculptor Ajay Kumar Mattewada has created a 150-micron tall Ganesha sculpture on a single strand of human hair. The intricate piece, which includes details like a necklace and a laddu, required 30 hours of work and is intended for display during the Vinayaka Chavithi festival.

Demonstrating the extraordinary possibilities of precision, patience and craftsmanship, international micro sculptor from Warangal Ajay Kumar Mattewada has created yet another remarkable art piece.
This time, he has sculpted a tiny Ganesha, measuring just 150 microns in height, on a single strand of human hair, approximately 100 microns in diameter. Notably, even the chain around Ganesha’s neck and a laddu in his hand have been intricately crafted.

“This miniature Ganesha can be clearly viewed only through a microscope. A human hair is generally about 80–100 microns in thickness,” said Ajay, adding that it took approximately 30 hours to create the sculpture which will be unveiled on the eve of Vinayaka Chavithi.
