KOTA BHARU: A PAS Youth delegate from Kedah has called for the party to lead efforts to unite Muslims at the federal level, saying it has leaders capable of becoming prime minister.
Ilyas Ahmad, who is the Kedah PAS Youth chief, said PAS was deserving of a leading role in the federal government due to its clean record and lack of corruption scandals, including during its time in the federal government.
“This time, we want the unity of the ummah to be led by PAS at the federal level. We no longer want to hear people saying, ‘It’s okay, let someone else be prime minister.’ This time, we want to ensure that PAS plays the leading role at the federal level.
