Timber rested for Ipswich EFL Cup match as caution

Image source, Getty Images By Sami Mokbel Senior football correspondent Published 15 September 2026 Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber is set to miss Tuesday's Carabao Cup tie against Ipswich but his expected omission is viewed as precautionary.
The Netherlands international made his first appearance of the season following a long-term groin issue in the Premier League win over Sunderland on Saturday, coming on as a substitute for Ben White, who suffered a muscular injury in the first half.
But despite his return to fitness, Arsenal are expected to exclude Timber from the squad to face Ipswich tonight.
