Tim Heidecker Is Bringing His Joe Rogan Parody Show to The Onion
Comedian Tim Heidecker is launching a new podcast on The Onion that parodies Joe Rogan and the broader 'bro-podcaster' culture. The show lampoons common podcast tropes, including AI speculation and the promotion of questionable health supplements.
Why it matters
This project highlights the growing intersection of political satire and the unregulated podcasting landscape, using comedy to critique influential media figures.
Comedian Tim Heidecker took the reins of the operation, adopting Jones’ guttural and paranoid bluster as he investigated, among other unconfirmed reports, whether Jones himself had exploded in his car after eating too much Whataburger.
