Tigress found dead in Srisailam Tiger Reserve
A 12-year-old tigress was found dead in the Nagarjunasagar Srisailam Tiger Reserve. Preliminary investigations suggest the death was due to natural causes, as no signs of poaching were detected.

A tigress aged around 12 years was found dead in the Gundla Brahmeswaram (GBM) range of the Nagarjunasagar Srisailam Tiger Reserve (NSTR).
The carcass was found by field staff on July 12. In accordance to the Standard Operating Procedure of the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) a post-mortem was conducted on July 13 by a committee comprising of C. Chaitanya Kumar Reddy, deputy director Project Tiger, Nandyal, forest range officer of Gundla Brahmeswaram, forest veterinary officers, representatives of NCTA, forest section officer and forest beat officer.
