The husband of missing woman Sumi Adhikari has issued an urgent appeal for authorities in Nepal and China to intensify search efforts, four days after she was last heard from following devastating flooding near the Nepal–Tibet border.
Mrs Adhikari is among a group of Australians still unaccounted-for after deadly flooding affected the border region.
Her family says it has received no clear or official information about her whereabouts or the status of others in her group.
Based on CCTV footage that has emerged and the group’s last known location in the Gyirong area, the family is calling for an immediate search of the area.
“Our most urgent request is for an immediate and thorough search operation in that location,” husband Nava Pandey told the ABC.
