A THUG smashed the windows of a moving car with a hammer because he was ‘concerned something was going to happen to him’ following an earlier attack claim.
Marcus Allan, 32, struck the windows which placed the male driver and two passengers at risk of being injured.
Defence solicitor Gerry Keenan claimed that Allan had acted in this way because he had previously been accused of theft by the driver and had been attacked by one of the passengers.
He also said Allan’s ‘significant mental health problems’ had been a factor in the incident.
Allan appeared at Greenock Sheriff Court from custody.
