Three suspects have been fatally wounded following a high-speed chase and shoot-out in Durban's Manor Gardens suburb on Thursday.

It is alleged that the men had just committed an armed robbery at Durban Halaal Meats in Overport.

A spokesperson for Marshall Security said the suspects were spotted travelling just outside the area, and a high-speed chase ensued.

"Shots were fired at responding members and vehicles. The pursuit continued into the Manor Gardens area, where the suspects’ vehicle eventually came to a stop on Mary Thiphe Street," the spokesperson said.

ALS Paramedics spokesperson, Garrith Jamieson , said when they arrived at the scene, they found that three suspects had succumbed to their gunshot wounds.
