A three-member inter-State gang has been arrested by the Dhone Town and CCS Nandyal police in connection with the theft of a large quantity of cigarettes from an ITC warehouse, and ₹14 lakh in cash, a car and 45 litres of illicit liquor were seized from them. Addressing the media here on Wednesday (June 3, 2026), Superintendent of Police Suneel Sheoran said the cigarettes were stolen in the early hours of April 20, within the Dhone Town police station limits, and the arrests followed an investigation into the case. The three accused had allegedly been involved in other offences earlier, he said.
