Three of family killed after milk tanker hits motorcycle in Koppa

A tragic road accident in Mandya district, Karnataka, resulted in the deaths of three family members after a milk tanker struck their motorcycle. One child survived the collision and is currently receiving medical treatment.

Three members of a family were killed when a motorcycle was knocked down by a milk tanker at Koppa in Mandya district, near Mysuru, early on September 15.
Police said Muthuraj, his wife and two daughters, were returning to their house at Kuthagondanahalli in Kanakapura taluk, in south Karnataka, on the motorcycle after celebrating a festival in Koppa in Maddur taluk when the mishap took place.
When the milk tanker hit their motorcycle from behind around 5.15 a.m., Muthuraj, 35, and daughter Keerthana, 9, were killed on the spot. His wife Kavya, 30, succumbed to injuries in a hospital.
