Three marijuana consignments seized in Hyderabad, 16 kg narcotic substance recovered

The Telangana Excise Special Task Force (STF) seized more than 16 kg of marijuana in three separate operations in Hyderabad and Medchal, and arrested four persons, while cases were registered against two others.
In the first operation, the STF ‘A’ Team seized 7.448 kg of marijuana during inspections near the Chintalakunta check-post in Hayathnagar. Rajesh Kalamam, who allegedly transported the contraband from Odisha, was arrested. A case was also registered against Vishal Kurian in connection with the seizure. The seized marijuana, valued at about ₹4 lakh, and the accused were handed over to the Hayathnagar Excise Station.
In another operation, the STF ‘B’ Team acted on information about marijuana being sold in Vasavi Ananda Nilayam area of LB Nagar. The team seized 8.928 kg of marijuana and arrested Ganga Madhukami and Munni Kadiyam.
