Three killed in road accident near Erwadi

Three persons were killed in a head-on collision involving a car and a two-wheeler near Erwadi in Ramanathapuram district on Thursday night.
Police said Ganesan, 25, Vasanth, 25, and Sanjay, 25, all fishermen from Mangaleshwari Nagar near Erwadi, were returning home on a two-wheeler after visiting Erwadi on Thursday night.
When they were going near Pullandai village on East Coast Road, a car proceeding from Rameswaram towards Sayalkudi collided with the two-wheeler.
Ganesan died on the spot. Vasanth and Sanjay, who sustained severe injuries, were rushed to Government Ramanathapuram Medical College Hospital, where they died around 11:30 p.m.
