Three young men died in a road accident near Saundatti in Belagavi district on Tuesday.

Vinod Jogennavar, 22, Akash Jadhav, 20, and Ravi Kurabar, 22, died when their bike rammed into a North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation bus near the Hoysala dhaba. They sustained grievous injuries and died on the spot.

The bus was on its way to Hubballi from Basava Kalyan in Bidar district. The three boys were going from Saundatti to Dharwad.

The bike hit the bus and subsequently slid underneath it. As a result, the three sustained severe injuries and bled to death, the police said.
