Three labourers were injured when a speeding SUV registered in the name of a former Minister's wife hit an e-rickshaw here, police said on Wednesday (September 2, 2026).

The accident occurred on Sunday late night (August 31, 2026) near the Mansarovar Metro station, they said.

According to the police, a Thar overturned while negotiating a turn after allegedly travelling at high speed from the Gurjar Ki Thadi side. The Endeavour coming from another side then hit the overturned vehicle before crashing into the e-rickshaw.

The force of the collision sent the e-rickshaw about 50 feet away, while the Endeavour also overturned, police said.

The three injured labourers were identified as Shankar Singh (50) and Mukesh Jawali (48), both residents of Laxmangarh in Alwar district, and Umashankar (48) of Janta Colony in Jaipur.
