Three persons were arrested and 46 kilograms of ganja was seized from them on July 1 (Wednesday) by a team from the Q Branch police. According to information available, the team, which had a specific tip-off, intercepted a two-wheeler at Pudu Mayakulam shore at around 9 p.m. on Wednesday. Physical check revealed that they had four to five packets hidden in the vehicle. Based on the confession, the police arrested them and found that it was intended to be smuggled to Sri Lanka through some ‘agent’ who was waiting near the shore. A case has been registered.
