Three get 15 years imprisonment for smuggling ganja

A court in Salem on Wednesday (September 30) sentenced three persons to 15 years imprisonment for smuggling ganja.
According to the prosecution, the Nallipalayam police in Namakkal district searched a van during a vehicle check conducted on November 28, 2021 and found 280 kg ganja in it. The police booked nine persons, and the case was tried before the Special Court for Essential Commodities (EC) and Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act cases in Salem.
