Three for the Weekend: Fire, Symphony, Hedgehog
Riga is hosting several cultural events this weekend, including the Ancient Fire Night on Vakarbuļļi Beach and the Hedgehog Fest at the Tallinas Street Quarter. Additionally, the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra will perform works by Barber and Mahler in Rīga and Rēzekne.

Ancient Fire Night This year, the Ancient Fire Night concert on Vakarbuļļu Beach will take place on a completely unusual stage, where you’ll be able to enjoy a fiery concert programme by the band “Zetrači” and the event’s host, Katrīna Dimanta. Concert programme “Echo of Fire”: 18.00 Performances by extracurricular groups from Riga Bolderāja New Primary School 19.00 Ance Krauze and Jānis Strazds 20.00 Fire ritual, lighting of the bonfires 20.30 Katrīna Dimanta and the band “Zeltrači” with fiery songs and dances 10.00 pm The band “YŪT” Workshops will also take place throughout the evening. The event takes place on August 29, 18.00 to 23.00, on the Vakarbuļļi Beach.
