Three dead, three injured in road accident

Three died, and three others were injured in a road accident on the Pune-Bengaluru National Highway near Venkatapur village in Dharwad district on Monday.
Manjunath, 29, Vinayak, 27, and Basavaraj, 33, from Harihar, who worked for a caterer in Dharwad, died on the spot.
The driver of the SUV, Basanagouda Patil, 26, of Hosa Yallapur village; Manjappa K.R., 30, of Davangere; and Ajay Manjappa K.R., 26, were injured. They have been admitted to a hospital.
The driver tried to overtake a truck, but lost control of the vehicle. Instead, the vehicle climbed the divider and rolled over.
