Three-day film festival to be inaugurated on Friday

The 3rd International Film Festival is set to begin in Puducherry, featuring a diverse selection of global cinema over three days. The event is organized by local film forums and cultural associations to promote international artistic exchange.

Filmmaker K. Hariharan will inaugurate the 3rd International Film Festival at Alliance Francaise in Puducherry on Friday. Chief Secretary Sharat Chauhan and former Minister K. Lakshminaraynan will participate in the inaugural ceremony.
During the three-day festival, around 10 movies would be screened at Alliance. On the inaugural day, The Stranger directed by Francoise Ozon will be screened at 7 p.m. The other films to be screened, include The Bibi Files , Amrum (German), A Poet (Columbian), Nellira (Tamil), Maghe Dhaka Tara (Bengali), Terrestrial Verses (Iranian), By the Stream (South Korean) and The Sun Rises on Us All (Chinese).
