Three cases registered under POCSO Act

Sethubhavachatram police have arrested five persons under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act for sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl on August 30.
The girl’s mother llodged a complaint with the police on August 31 and the accused were arrested and remanded to judicial custody on September 1.
In another incident, Pattukottai All Woman Police have arrested a 60-year-old man of Adhiramapattinam on charges of misbehaving with two teenage girls.
According to police, the accused misbehaved with the girls at his work place on August 30. Following a complaint from the families of the victims, he was arrested under the POCSO Act and remanded to judicial custody subsequently.
