Three cases registered under POCSO Act
Police in Tamil Nadu have arrested several individuals across three separate incidents involving sexual assault and harassment of minors. All suspects have been charged under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and remanded to judicial custody.

Sethubhavachatram police have arrested five persons under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act for sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl on August 30.
The girl’s mother llodged a complaint with the police on August 31 and the accused were arrested and remanded to judicial custody on September 1.
In another incident, Pattukottai All Woman Police have arrested a 60-year-old man of Adhiramapattinam on charges of misbehaving with two teenage girls.
According to police, the accused misbehaved with the girls at his work place on August 30. Following a complaint from the families of the victims, he was arrested under the POCSO Act and remanded to judicial custody subsequently.
