Three children drowned in a tank at Marle in Chikkamagaluru taluk on Tuesday (October 6) afternoon. The deceased have been identified as Tarun, 13, son of Kiran; Bhuvan, 12, son of Yogish; and Likhit, 12, son of Ravishankar. All were residents of Marle village.
The children, who were on mid-term vacation, were playing near the tank when one of them entered the water and struggled to return to the bank. The other two rushed in to help him, and all three drowned, according to villagers.
