Nearly 28 kg of marijuana, allegedly being transported from the Visakhapatnam Agency area, was seized in two separate operations in Malkajgiri, with three persons, including two women from Tamil Nadu, arrested.
In the first case, the Malkajgiri Excise Enforcement team, acting on information about the illegal sale of marijuana, conducted a raid near the R.K. Nagar auto stand in Malkajgiri. The team seized 7.163 kg of marijuana and a mobile phone and arrested Bappa, a native of Uttar Dinajpur in West Bengal.
In a separate operation, the District Task Force (DTF), Malkajgiri, conducted a route watch near the Passport Office in Secunderabad and intercepted two women identified as Indu Rani and Rajammal Panjagam, both residents of Madurai in Tamil Nadu.
