Three arrested in Nellore murder case, one absconding

Nellore Rural police on Wednesday arrested three persons in connection with the murder of Batta Varun, 27, a resident of RDT Colony in the Kallurupalli area of Nellore. A fourth accused is absconding.
Preliminary investigation suggests that the murder stemmed from enmity arising out of family disputes, the police said.
Addressing the media, Nellore Rural Inspector K. Venkata Reddy said a case had been registered under Sections 103(1), 324(4) and 351(2), read with Section 3(5), of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The accused had allegedly planned and executed the attack, he said.
The police identified the accused based on technical evidence and local information. The arrested persons were P. Krishna, 29, G. Nagaraju, 35, and J. Karthik, 23.
The police recovered the weapons allegedly used in the crime, including a knife, and collected other evidence. The investigation is continuing.
