Three militants with allegiance to proscribed outfits have been arrested for their alleged involvement in extortion and cadre recruitment in Manipur's Imphal West district, police said on Wednesday (October 7, 2026).
The two members of the People's Liberation Army — Maibam Arun (50) and Wahengbam Bimol (26) — were arrested on Tuesday (October 6), an official said.
On Monday (October 5), a PREPAK member, Laishram Bishal Singh (29), was arrested during a search operation at the Mayang Imphal Thana area for his involvement in cadre recruitment, another official said.
