Three arrested for attempting to murder woman over property dispute

The Tappachabutra police on Thursday arrested three persons for attempting to murder a woman during a violent attack triggered by a family property dispute in Daibagh.
The accused were identified as Mohammed Dastagir Shareef alias Pappu (32), Mohd. Osman alias Addu (25), both labourers, and Mohd. Gulam Nabi Qureshi (44), a vegetable vendor. Police said all three have been remanded to judicial custody.
According to the police, Dastagir Shareef had been embroiled in a long-standing property dispute and domestic discord with his sister-in-law, Shameem Begum alias Shameem Sulthana. He allegedly conspired with the two other accused to kill her.
