Toronto Hydro is reporting thousands of people are still without power caused by severe storms Wednesday evening.
Toronto Hydro reported early Thursday that roughly 8,300 homes and businesses were still in the dark, while the province’s Crown-owned power supplier, Hydro One, said more than 58,000 customers remained offline.
“We’re currently responding to widespread outages caused by severe weather. Crews are working as quickly and safely as possible to restore power to affected customers. We know how difficult it is to be without power and truly appreciate your patience and understanding,” wrote Toronto Hydro on its website.
