Thoothukudi Corporation has organised a stakeholder engagement and awareness activity on climate resilience, accessibility and urban mobility, here on Wednesday, with the support of the The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), under the UK-PACT, funded project.
The event, which was conducted as part of the PACT-Digi-PULSE initiative, “Advancing carbon neutral transitions using digital twin-based planning for urban living and sustainable environment,” led by IIT-Madras in partnership with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), Institute for Transportation and Development Policy (ITDP) India and Centre of Excellence for Low Carbon and Fuel Cell Technologies (Cenex).
Addressing the event, Thoothukudi Corporation Mayor Jegan Periyasamy emphasised the shared responsibilities of citizens in maintaining the cleanliness and effective waste management, with a vision of making Thoothukudi a model clean city.
