PETALING JAYA: Think tank Ilham Centre predicts that Barisan Nasional will win the Johor state election tomorrow and retain its two-thirds majority in the legislative assembly.
Ilham Centre said one key factor was BN's tactical decision to hold the state election before the next general election, as the nationwide polls usually lead to a higher voter turnout with more outstation voters returning.
It said voters are more focused on the performance of the incumbent state government in a state election, whereas national sentiments dominate the atmosphere in a general election.
