There is merit in Kavitha’s claims on BRS funds source: Telangana Congress chief

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president B. Mahesh Kumar Goud said there was merit in Telangana Rakshna Sena (TRS) chief K. Kavitha’s allegation that the Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) received ₹1,400 crore through quid pro quo deals with contractors from Andhra Pradesh, further adding that the transaction raised serious questions that needed to be answered.
Mr. Goud was responding to the allegations levelled by Ms. Kavitha against her father KCR’s party. Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan on Friday (July 10, 2026), he also alleged that irrigation projects executed during the previous regime had developed structural problems and demanded that BRS leader T. Harish Rao explain the lapses.
