Christopher Luxon gave away the truth in that TVNZ leaders’ debate on Tuesday.
If he wakes up on November 8 needing the Opportunity Party for the numbers to form a government, he will absolutely be calling Qiulae Wong.
When he was pressed on Tuesday about the possibility of that phone call, he wouldn’t rule it out. He would only repeat what he considered to be historical facts. National has ruled out Opportunity. He has been crystal clear. He’s laid it out from the very beginning of the year.
But not once did he say no, he would not be picking up the phone.
Because the truth is he might need to call Q. Things have changed since the beginning of the year. On the averages of current polling, Opportunity will be in Parliament.
