The inaugural version of this watch, first released in 2014 as a worldtimer featuring a highly distinctive dial with micro-painted flags, caused quite a sensation and became rather emblematic for the brand. When LV relaunched the Escale in 2024 , back then a time-only model, it felt a bit like a letdown, as if something was missing. Looking back in the mirror, we can now understand that these classic watches were meant to establish the new design language.
