The New Glashütte Original 70s Collection, a Reworked Take on the Integrated Sports Watch

The new Glashütte Original 70s retains the unmistakable geometric character of its predecessor , but almost everything else has changed. The case is smaller and thinner, the dial has been redesigned, the signature Panorama Date has been replaced by a conventional date display, the older Calibre 39 base movement has given way to the modern Calibre 36 , and finally, it also features a completely new strap-changing system.

The launch collection comprises three variants – Vinyl Record (black), Tweed Amp (brown) and Stereo Panel (silvery-white) – each taking its inspiration from a different analogue object of the 1970s and following the current fascination for mechanical and analogue experiences: records, amplifiers and hi-fi equipment, objects that require physical interaction, much like the winding of a watch.
