The Met Breaks Ground on a New Modern and Contemporary Art Wing
The Metropolitan Museum of Art has broken ground on a new modern and contemporary art wing designed by architect Frida Escobedo. The project, scheduled for completion in 2030, will expand exhibition space by 50 percent and integrate modern works more closely with the museum's historical collections.
