T he rapid emergence of Artificial Intelligence in education has compelled institutions to reconsider not only their pedagogical practices but also the philosophical foundations of learning itself. While AI promises efficiency, personalisation, and data-driven insights, its integration into educational systems is far from straightforward. One of the most pressing challenges is not technological but institutional: departments often function in isolation, guided by distinct epistemologies and methodological commitments. In such a fragmented environment, the integration of AI risks becoming uneven, inconsistent, and, at times, counterproductive. Therefore, what is urgently required is a strategic, inclusive, and critical conversation among all stakeholders to collectively determine how AI should be integrated and to what extent.
