After The Hindu reported that hundreds of students and teachers being forced to endure foul smell emanating from garbage dumped close to the school compound wall in the edition of August 21, Bengaluru Solid Waste Management officials have got the waste cleared and garbage trucks have been moved 100 metres away.
At the same time, taking a serious note of the report in the newspaper, Minister for School Education and Literacy Madhu Bangarappa has written a letter to the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) Chief Commissioner M. Maheshwar Rao.
