Carl Hemberg, 31, recently settled on his first home in Flemington and he has been holding off on purchasing much for it, including the much-sought-after Samsung Frame TV, until Afterpay Day. His move comes as data shows that 45 per cent of Aussies (rising to 61 per cent of higher spenders) wait for discounts before buying big-ticket items. “I moved into my first home in Flemington with my partner at the start of July, so we’re still very much in that phase where every week we realise there’s something else we need,” Carl tells 7You.
