The Boox Palma 2 Pro finally got me to stop reading on my phone
The Boox Palma 2 Pro is a smartphone-sized E Ink device that allows users to read digital content with less eye strain than a standard phone. Its compact size and Android compatibility make it a versatile alternative for readers who find traditional e-readers too bulky.
Why it matters
It represents a growing niche in consumer electronics for specialized, distraction-free hardware that bridges the gap between smartphones and dedicated e-readers.
The $400 Boox Palma 2 Pro is a smartphone-sized e-reader designed for people who want to read books, articles, and documents on a small E Ink display. However, it offers more than just a dedicated reading experience because it runs Android and supports Google Play, giving you access to third-party apps. Think of it as a cross between a Kindle and a compact Android tablet.
