'That’s embarrassing': Tempo suffer worst loss of season vs. Lynx

The Toronto Tempo suffered a significant 104-72 loss to the Minnesota Lynx, largely due to 24 turnovers and poor rebounding. Head coach Sandy Brondello expressed frustration with the team's lack of discipline and failure to execute basic fundamentals.
Why it matters
The loss highlights ongoing consistency issues for the Tempo as they prepare for an upcoming road trip.
TORONTO — Maria Conde, coming off a career night against the very same Minnesota Lynx on Tuesday, tried to set up a play as she crossed through half. Instead, her pass went errant and became just one of the 24 turnovers that defined the loss for the Toronto Tempo .
As the Tempo forward chased Kayla McBride down the floor, her face said it all; she was upset by her carelessness and the fact that this mistake had become a habit at Scotiabank Arena on Thursday night.
A failure to take care of the basketball caused the Tempo to lose 104-72 on Thursday night.
“That's embarrassing. This is on our home court,” head coach Sandy Brondello said. “Our habits, what breaks it down, the things we talk about, too many turnovers, and unforced turnovers, and soft turnovers, and they're not rebounding.”
