Shooter Rudrankksh Patil, who won medals at the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, was received by the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) at an event on Monday (September 28, 2026). The TMC Sports Department organised the event at Dharmaveer Anand Dighe Thane Entry Gate in Anandnagar. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Mayor Sharmila Pimpalolkar spoke at the event.
In an interaction with The Hindu , Patil said he felt satisfaction with what he did at the Asian Games. He added that preparation had not gone as planned. The year had seen ups and downs, he noted. The team had aimed for the Asian Games since the previous year. He had finished in fourth place at the Asian Games before this one and wanted to improve that result. He and the coach had put in work, faith, and belief, and that paid off in the moment, he said.
