TGNPDCL bags awards for adoption of emerging tech., better consumers services

The Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited (TGNPDCL) has secured two more national-level awards in recognition of its adoption of advanced technologies, improved consumer services and excellence in operational performance.

According to the Discom officials, the awards include ‘Adopting AI in Energy Award’ and ‘South India PSU & Governance Excellence Award’. The awards recognise TGNPDCL’s efforts towards making power distribution smarter, safer and more efficient through the extensive use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), drone technology and data analytics, besides its continued focus on consumer-centric services and operational excellence.

The two awards were formally presented to TGNPDCL chairman and managing director K. Varun Reddy at the company’s corporate office at Hanumakonda on Tuesday. The two awards were received by company secretary K. Venkatesham and by chief engineer Surender in Bengaluru on September 9 and 10, respectively.
