TGCSB, DoT step up coordination to tackle telecom-enabled cybercrime

The Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) on Thursday held a high-level coordination meeting with the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) to strengthen measures aimed at tackling telecom-enabled cybercrime, with a focus on improving coordination between telecom service providers and law enforcement agencies.
The meeting was chaired by Shikha Goel, Director of the TGCSB, and attended by K. Raja Sekhar, Deputy Director General (Technology), Department of Telecommunications, Hemant Rathwe, Deputy Director General (Security), Department of Telecommunications, senior officials from the Intelligence Bureau, telecom service providers and TGCSB.
According to the TGCSB, the discussions focused on addressing emerging cyber threats facilitated through telecom infrastructure and enhancing mechanisms for cybercrime prevention, investigation and victim protection.
