Tesla opens sixth India Experience Centre in Chennai

Tesla India on Friday opened its sixth Experience Centre in the country at Express Avenue Mall in Chennai, expanding its retail and after-sales presence in Tamil Nadu.

The Chennai centre follows Tesla’s Experience Centres in Mumbai, Gurugram, Delhi, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. The company has also started service and body-shop operations in Chennai, taking its service and body-shop network in India to eight locations.

“We are very excited about it. We already have our experience centers in Mumbai, Gurugram, Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and now we are in Chennai,” said Sharad Agarwal, Tesla India’s head.

Tesla said the Chennai Experience Centre would provide local consultation, test drives and vehicle delivery support. The company has also made a Tesla-approved collision centre and service capabilities available in Poonamallee, providing access to genuine Tesla parts, trained technicians, software-aware diagnostics and collision repair.
